"I think society views interior design as a luxury service. I believe the value I bring to a client is seen in their mood, productivity, and daily routine. Planning a space that is unique to your lifestyle or work environment will have a positive impact for years to come. This service can't be described in numbers, the return on investment is something you feel instead." - Erika Hoversten
Erika Hoversten, owner of FLAG Interior Design, received her BFA in interior design from Iowa State University in 2002. Combining the foundation of her education with the inspiration she has gathered through several moves and travels she understands the interior environment through the eyes of many people and places. She strives to find that perfect balance for each client with practicality and unique style. Her pursuit for innovation in lighting, materials, and furnishings create longevity and functionality for the space. Erika has great appreciation for the trades and enjoys collaborating with a dedicated team of contractors and architectural professionals.
Outside of her work Erika enjoys spending free time with family and friends. She and her husband, Andy, stay busy raising their four children in Andrews, Texas. Several times a year they travel to be with friends and family and make a priority of visiting new places. One of Erika's other creative outlets is cooking. Much like interior spaces she feels good food can awaken the senses and bring great satisfaction.
